Pink skies paint the clouds above you and calm morning waters beckon you towards the rocky islets of Los Arcos. From there, catch the sunrise over the Sierra Madre Mountains as you make your way through hidden sea caves, thought by the ancients of this place to be a kind of sacred portal. And then put on a mask and snorkel to catch a glimpse of life below the sea.

Our Sunrise Session is a spectacular experience from start to finish. And from there, your day is only just beginning.

The basics

WHERE • The entrance of Mismaloya Beach to nearby Los Arcos

The details

Your tour guide will welcome you 30-minutes before your scheduled departure at our shop in Mismaloya. Once you arrive, we will gear up for a brief paddle from Mismaloya Beach to the neighboring islands of Los Arcos National Marine Park. Either along the way or once in Los Arcos, the sun will rise. And, from there, you will spend some time exploring the caves and grottos of the area while receiving historical and biological information from your guide. You will get an opportunity to experience the park before the business of the daytime crowds, and have a chance to snorkel—if you choose.

Our Sunrise Session lasts for about three hours and logs a total distance of about 2-3 nautical miles. The cost for this experience is 1500 MXN pesos per person.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

• Comfortable bathing suit or water clothing to move and get wet in

• Dry change of clothes

• Towel to dry off

• Earth-friendly sun protection (ie. hat, inexpensive sun glasses, long-sleeved rash-guard, coral-friendly biodegradable sunscreen)

• (Optional) A cellphone with sufficient space, should you choose to take home our photo package

Just a heads up…

If you would like to SUP on this tour, we ask that you please join us the day prior for a complimentary paddle board lesson. If you cannot make it for a lesson ahead of time, we will book you on a kayak.

Ages 15+ on their own equipment.
Children and Minors Aged 5-13 are allowed if accompanied by guardian on the same equipment (Age 18 or older) and receive half-off the price of the full tour.
